Congratulations to Battalion Chief Spitzock, Battalion Chief Czaruk and Battalion Chief Hall on their promotions as the first three Battalion Chiefs for the Elburn & Countryside Fire Protection District.

Over the past nine months, seven of our Lieutenants committed themselves to participate in our Acting Battalion Chief program. This program was intended to give our candidates an opportunity to fully immerse themselves in this new position; completing numerous training evolutions, administrative tasks, scheduled reviews and commanding emergency incidents. We are proud of each candidate as they all demonstrated genuine growth and development.
